DISBARRED: The Card Game™ was born during peak bar exam burnout, when our founder decided there had to be a less soul-crushing way to learn the law. Instead of just memorizing rules, why not make a party game that actually makes legal concepts click… and crack people up?

That idea became DISBARRED. Backed by a team of other legal eagles and party game lovers, we launched on Kickstarter and were fully funded by a community just as obsessed with making law fun as we are.

And the best part? Every game sold helps fund aspiring lawyers in need and Know Your Rights organizations.

As a former BLSA leader and Butch Carpenter First Place Award recipient, which is the largest first-year scholarship at the University of Michigan Law School and awarded to a BLSA member (@umichlaw @michiganlawblsa), spaces like this were critical to my development. They provided access to knowledge, community, and pathways that are often informal, gatekept, or assumed. As previously shared, we are currently navigating a newly regulated international shipping landscape, including updated compliance requirements, tariffs, and seasonal delays related to the holidays and Chinese New Year, as communicated by our manufacturer. At this stage, the delay is beyond our direct control. We are now anticipating a mid-February shipment and release, as the bulk order is undergoing mandatory safety testing. Production is complete, the evidence is finalized, and the product is legally itching to be delivered. We will update all orders as soon as additional information becomes available.
